. TransAfrica Media was founded in December 2000, after extensive research identified that the following factors as being detrimental to the success of a pan-African media industry:
• Locally produced content of sub-standard quality,
• Outdated and culturally irrelevant western-centric content,
• Pessimistic advertising and marketing communities,
• A desperate shortage of technical skills, and…
• Public broadcasters with inadequate emphasis on revenue generation. By addressing these factors, TransAfrica Media Holdings has demonstrated that its pan-African media platform is the medium of choice for the marketing and advertising industries of Africa.
